Hyderabad, Feb 7 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, indicated on Friday that there will be no immediate expansion of his Cabinet.

During his visit to Delhi for discussions with Congress party's central leadership, he informed reporters during a casual interaction that the decision on new Cabinet members lies with the party leadership. He clarified that he was not putting forward any names for consideration.

Revanth Reddy, after a meeting with AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal, expressed that a conclusion has been reached regarding the reconstitution of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) executive, anticipating an announcement within a day or two.

When asked if he sought an appointment with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, he stated that comments from those oblivious to his relationship with Rahul Gandhi do not concern him.

He emphasized his commitment to align with the party's sentiments and leadership, asserting that personal decisions would not factor into his actions.

“I will fulfill the responsibilities assigned by the party. My focus is on my work, with no necessity to react to every criticism,” he remarked.

Venugopal held separate discussions with Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud, and Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy.

AICC observer Deepa Dasmunshi is also accompanying the Chief Minister and other leaders, who are reportedly visiting to invite AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi for two public events in Telangana regarding the successful implementation of a caste census and the categorization of Scheduled Castes as per the Supreme Court ruling.

However, rumors of discontent among some party MLAs have heightened the significance of this visit.

Prior to departing for Delhi, the leaders participated in the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting, urging unity and collaboration among MLAs and ministers.

In related news, Revanth Reddy reiterated that the state government would proceed legally concerning cases against opposition leaders, clarifying there are no immediate plans for arrests.

He affirmed that his administration seeks long-term solutions to ongoing issues. The CM stated that the caste survey was conducted with comprehensive considerations and believes it has permanently addressed the matter of Muslim reservations.

The Chief Minister noted that the caste survey indicates a 5.5 percent increase in the population of Backward Classes.
